I saw her a number of times, each a memorable experience. Probably the most memorable was at the Kennedy Center during the Sondheim festival. Her performance began before the matinee of "Sunday in the Park with George" ended, so I traded seats with others near me so I could easily escape via a side door. My seat for her concert was in the front row, center, and there was no way I could get there late. Even though I had to crane my neck to see her, I regarded that particular performance to be a master class in the art of singing.
