Karen Ziemba is 11 years older than Yvonne De Carlo was when Follies opened in 1971. She is seven years older than Carol Burnett was when she sang it in Follies in Concert.
De Carlo was a bit on the young side for the song, even though it was written for her, but Karen Ziemba is not in any way too young for the song. The song is meant for a woman of 50-55, not a woman of 75. |
