Along with everyone else, the Barbara Cook CDs are marching off the shelves, onto the player. I am stunned at how many songs that didn't immediately come to mind might very well have served me as "favorite Barbara Cook song." From As of Today alone: "It Was," "You and I," Ain't Love Easy" and "Stars" are all viable contenders. Another thing I have noticed is how many incredible songs Wally contributed to her repertoire, songs that could be taken up by others. "Sing a Song with Me," "It Takes Nothing Away from Me," "In Between Goodbyes" and of course "Better with a Band."
