Is it a new thing, or just becoming more pronounced in our polarized times? I feel like hardly anybody can say "I didn't enjoy this" and be done, it's "I didn't enjoy this, and therefore it's bad" (which seems on reflection to become "I didn't enjoy it because it's bad").
I've seen shows I liked. I've seen shows I liked even though I recognised they weren't so good. I've seen shows I didn't like even while I noted their quality. I've seen shows I thought were actually bad. And I accept that other people will often sort the same shows into the same categories differently. |
