I saw Woody Sez on a whim last week and was blown away. It's a show that made me feel productive in my thoughts about the Trump era, which is the highest compliment I can pay it. I went home and immediately emailed David Lutken, who created & stars in the production at the Irish Rep, asking him to come on my podcast, Unhireable. He agreed. I hope posting this doesn't violate the terms of the board, because our convo was super theater focused.
David is a great guy and super interesting guest. Noteworthy in our convo to theater fans: David starred in Will Rogers Follies with Marla Maples and shares bananas advice he got from President Trump; David also was the music director on Southern Comfort at the Public and talks a bit about that experience.
Our episode is linked in this post. Also, I strongly recommend seeing Woody Sez. Cheapish tix on TodayTix. I'm not a shill just a fan! |
