"Adorable" is, for better or worse, what Disney does. But that hasn't always translated to Broadway success for them. However, if this production is done smartly, I'm sure it's going to do very well. ;-)
I have a former student in the ensemble (her 2nd Broadway show, after Kinky Boots) who hinted to me that what she knows of the adaptation so far seems exciting. So I hope there's a long run in it for her. ;-)
But my lord, it better be far more than just "adorable." Who aspires to just that? |
