I really loved Ziemba's SO WHAT?, so I'd vote to keep that. I would have easily dropped the novelty number IF YOU COULD SEE HER, which isn't particularly well done and has little to say outside of the context of the show....I'd absolutely would have voted to substitute it with the very relevant WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
by the way, just got back from Serenbe Playhouse's astounding outdoor CABARET, and it was one of the very best productions I have ever seen, including multiple visits to Broadway revivals and national tours. The staging was stunning, the cast was brilliant and, of course, the orchestra was.... beautiful. This company, located 45 minutes outside Atlanta in the middle of nowhere, continues to do challenging, wildly ambitious productions out in the middle of the fields. |
