And I imagine each fan thinks he's being original. But to me, it sounded like Murray was just stating it as a matter of fact. Not as a major annoyance or something he loathes. For what it's worth, it was reported that Murray was happily chatting with fans and taking selfies at ''Groundhog Day.''

I gotta imagine that the show must've tried to get Murray to attend months ago. His ''Groundhog'' co-star, Andie Macdowell, was there in April and loved it. Maybe Murray was hesitant to go; here, he cited his apprehension. And if he had hated it, it could've backfired on the musical. And now, Murray can't rave enough. He was initially booked for a 7-minute spot on WNYC, but went on for 17 minutes. If you listen to the broadcast, the interview sounds like it only ended because fill-in host Jonathan Capehart had to wrap it up, so he could move on with the rest of the program.
