| Then we'd have no casting issues. But until then, if we HAVE to cast humans, there's no reason on earth why Ariel needs to be played by a white woman. And also, she was on Broadway already. | |

| With white supremacy in the news big time this weekend, this story hits particularly hard. So sad that Huey has had to face this, and so sad that people still have such unbelievably closed minds. | |

| The one upside is that images of her, an Asian American actress, as Ariel are being spread around the internet far more than they would have been if all was going well... hopefully some children and casting directors and directors and producers are seeing the image and taking note. | |
