Disney's track record isn't as pristine as freshly fallen flakes, I'm afraid. TARZAN and MERMAID were clunkers. And although MARY POPPINS was undeniably a hit, I really just couldn't get into it.
Call me crazy, but I think people are going to want to find out how the hell they're going to give Elsa the power to make ice, snow, a castle, a snowman, and a sexy sparkly blue dress with her bare hands live on stage. If the illusions and effects are crystal sparkle magical, people will buy tickets.
If those effects are a dud, people will save their dough and watch the film for the umpteenth time.
