Both "Hamilton" and "Hello, Dolly" have equivalent running times and that hasn't hurt their business. That is true of many other shows. Most of the musicals running on Broadway right now are between 2 hour 15 minutes and 2 hour 30 minutes so I expect you are unhappy a lot.

The show really dragged. Felt more like 4 hours, which is what I heard from a lot of people. Was a very exhausting show to sit through, especially at an 8pm curtain.

Funny, I actually thought it had excellent pacing. I can't think of anything I'd take out. Everything in the show serves a purpose & it all works really well.

Mattyp4, I'm with you. I loved every minute of ''Groundhog Day,'' especially Matthew Warchus' witty direction and Andy Karl's tour de force.

It was one of my very favorites this past season, and I enjoyed it much more than shows that were more celebrated (and overrated).

What a shame Bill Murray, who just raved about the show, didn't see it sooner and give it a bigger boost when it actually opened in April.

And what an emotional roller coaster. One week, you finally get Murray's blessing; the next, you find out you're closing Sept. 17.

Even so, kudos to the incredible cast and crew of ''Groundhog''; each time I saw it, they gave it their all and made my ''Day''!

One of my very favorite shows too, Wayman! I saw Groundhog Day in previews and thoroughly enjoyed this production. I got to meet several cast members after the show including Andy Karl - nice guy!

It's a shame this is closing. If Groundhog Day should tour and play Washington, DC, I will most definitely see this again.
