| I'm not sure what you mean when you say you saw her ... "... at the Carlyle (That Champion Season was just about the best musical I'd seen in 20 years), ..." Huh? |

| Sure. The Champion Season was the name of her show. It was dedicated to the work(s) of Gower Champion, and included songs from all the shows he directed. Fortunately, it was recorded by DRG, and is a listening treasure. Email me for more details. Fred | |

| I can't believe I'm so completely unaware of such a show (cabaret, concert or otherwise) and/or such a recording! Sounds wonderful!! And I was certain you weren't referring to the play. ;) |

| You keep calling it a show. When I saw it in P-Town in 1999, it was the name of her Gower Chanpion concert. | |

|
| Yes, it was both a concert program and a cabaret show depending on the venue. | |

| Did Cook and Champion ever work together? I bet she'd have been a smashing Dolly Levi or Dorothy Brock, even if the latter would have not really been the vocal showcase she deserved. | |
