Two thoughts … one, mid-'60s an actor friend -- you all know him -- was between jobs and sold neckties at Bloomingdale's one Christmas. One day Barbara Cook was a customer. Three ties, three boxes, the sale completed, finally Mike gushed how wonderful Barbara Cook was, how he had all her shows, so much loved "She Loves Me." "Oh, you all always say that." She smiled lovingly and left. Two, she came to press agent Henry Luhrman's '89 memorial at Michael's Pub. Love and respect shown. She has had my heart ever since. R.I.P.
