| Had seen this musical last year and was not really impressed. Got a ticket for this afternoon to see personal favorite Betsy Wolfe and boy,has she reinvigorated show! Really enjoyed it this time around. Wolfe is a wonderful actress with the voice of an angel and she soars in this production-so happy to see her in a lead-she was spectacular a few years back in The Last 5 Years and Drood revival (Woody Allen wasted her in Bullets Over Broadway) The whole show seemed tighter and more focused. She's going to be in concert in November with her 5 Years costar Adam Kantor at Carnegie Hall-something else to look forward too. Now if only someone would write a show just for her! |
