Last Minute Stubhub Dolly Tix - a good idea?
Posted by: DistantDrumming 12:33 am EDT 08/17/17

Anyone bought last minute/day-of tickets for Hello, Dolly! from Stubhub? While I know the past is not a guarantee of the future and the plural of anecdote isn't data, I'd love to hear of any success you had landing reasonably priced Dolly tickets from StubHub. I'm weighing the idea of a lower/mid-premium advance purchase vs. taking my chances on a last minute StubHub purchase. To clarify, I'm talking strictly Bette performance days. If you had some success and don't mind sharing, how far in advance of the performance did you make your purchase, what section were you seated in and how much did you pay per ticket? I'm assuming the StubHub ticket sellers reduce their prices (significantly?) if they have unsold inventory just a few hours before curtain. I mean, for example, for tomorrow's (8/17) performance there are currently 172 unsold tickets, of which 45 are electronic/instant download tickets, as opposed to hard tickets.

And, related question, are you aware of any particular rows or even seats to avoid? Are there any obstructed view seats in this house? I'm sticking with Mez and Orch.
