| Sondheim would certainly say that of McMartin. Prince might. I know that he thought very highly of McMartin generally and of his performance as Ben, but I don't recall him saying anything in particular about that performance in print, apart from his praise of McMartin when he picked up his directing Tony for Follies. Which was not in print, of course. :) |
