| On another note the Honors seem a little fishy this year. LL Cool J? Really? Already? He's only 49. Seems like there maybe some tie in to the fact that he is on a CBS show going on. | |

| Just for the record, I predicted this would be the case a few weeks ago and was told by a few people here that it was ridiculous and unprecedented and of course they'd attend. | |

| Maybe Caroline Kennedy and the heads of the Kennedy Center will invite President Obama to attend instead. That would really infuriate Trump, who apparently doesn't like to attend events where he doesn't get to choose the audience. | |

| I am under the impression no one had said they were boycotting the ceremony but simply the reception at the White House. It seemed fairly obvious to me that they never were going to attend the ceremony; the only question was if the reason given would be a pretext. I'm surprised that the KC was so generous in its response. |

| I don't know. There are quite a few people (maybe even me) who buy into the "we are all Melania" meme. Still, her presence would certainly increase the barrage from the stage which I assume will be pretty high anyway. | |
