Also, whatever became of Chip Ford the young actor who played Gabriel?

I did, indeed, see the original and enjoyed it very much. There actually was a very poorly produced and deservedly short-lived revival in 1989.

Perhaps when the country's equilibrium is restored, this would be nice to see again. But for now I think not.

I suggest that Marc Kudish would be my casting choice for the role. Great Baritones who are also fine actors do not come along every day, so, Producers..................time is a wasting.
