Mary Martin's "Peter Pan" costume and Little Orphan Annie's red dress come to mind, but one of my personal favorites was Robert Mackintosh's white dress for Angela Lansbury after Mame Dennis's husband Beau dies falling off the Matterhorn. Vera, of course, wore black!
