Carousel- DVDs

Hey all,

My musical theatre class will be studying this show and score this year in class (and with any luck, seeing the new production on our NYC field trip next April...provided #drumpf hasn't blown us up by then!).

I was trying to find online any DVD versions of stage productions. I found one from the Lincoln Centre starring Nathan Gunn and Kellie O'Hara....

It looks good... opinions? Are there others? I may also show the 1956 film (which I also have shockingly never seen myself) and am wondering if the production and film values are too 'dated' for today's limited attention spans?

Thanks for your anticipated help.

the 1956 movie, (Gordon McRae, Shirley Jones) has a shortened Bench Scene, and I've never cared for Barbara Ruick's Performance. the 'Act Two' ballet is marvelous.
