Christmas from Broadway at Dream Street Cabaret is a dynamic holiday show that celebrates the season with a new Holiday Revue featuring songs from Broadway shows such as "We Need A Little Christmas" (Mame), "New Deal For Christmas" (Annie), "Hard Candy Christmas" (Best Little Whorehouse) and "Sing A Little Song of Christmas" (Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular) to just name a few. There is also new holiday music from some of today's new theatre composers and lyricists. This is an official BC/EFA event with all proceeds from the show being donated to them.

Late this Fall, Sam's re-opened with a complete new renovation of the historical theatrical establishment. Sam's has been a proud part of the Broadway community for 70 years. Dream Street Cabaret is a new endeavor for Sam's (the show officially began Nov. 3rd). The cabaret show stars Ken Lundie and Dale Badway. Surrounding a new baby grand piano Dream Street Cabaret features the best of Broadway and Tin Pan Alley. The show is performed in the newly enlarged main dining room with its raised stage (with a spectacular backdrop of beveled glass) and new sound and light equipment.

Ken Lundie is a popular musical director / actor / singer. He has been associated with Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Crazy For You, Jekyll and Hyde and he was the musical director for the legendary Moose Murders. Dale Badway has a distinguished list of leading roles in numerous musicals in regional and stock theatres throughout the country including such shows as Meet Me in St. Louis, Bye Bye Birdie, Drood and Sweet Charity. Dale recently appeared in a Rodgers and Hammerstein revue in Floriday.

Sam's has expanded its menu for the new operation, including a new bakery now on premise for wonderful breads and delicious deserts. Sam's is the perfect place for late night dining, drinks and entertainment. With Dream Street Cabaret, Sam's is open until 4:00 a.m., Wednesday through Saturday. For reservations please call (212) 719-5416.

Even if you miss the current benefit for BC/EFA, Sam's is a definite spot to be visited on your next New York jaunt! Dream Street Cabaret has been extended and there is no Cover Charge.

See you Friday!
