Talkin' Broadway V.J.

Boys

Gothic Entertainment will present BOYS, a new romantic comedy by Florenciani, beginning performances Thursday, October 7th at The Phil Bosakowski Theatre (354 West 45th Street). Opening Night is set for Thursday, October 14th. Featured in the cast are Betsy Fast, Florenciani, Steve Gesser, Kelly Morast, Rhoda Pauley, and Bill Penna. Teresa Meza directs. The limited engagement runs through November 13th.

Boys is a story about love and family. The world of Christopher and Jeremy, two budding Chelsea roommates (Kelly Morast and Bill Penna), is rocked when Max (Florenciani) moves in. Both men begin to question their fate when Max offers the ultimate challenge.

Boys is a heartwarming story with lots of comedic surprises. Unlike many "gay plays" this is not about death or gratuitous sex - a positive gay comedy long overdue.

Florenciani, who began his singing career at age 7, made his Off-Broadway debut at 16 with Miriam Colon's Puerto Rican Traveling Theater. His first play as author, With Me But Not My Wife, enjoyed a highly successful run Off-Broadway in 1997. He can currently be seen in John Turturro's Illuminata.
