The greater Cincinnati (OH) area is a thriving theater community. The Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati Series brings the best touring productions to town to perform in the beautiful 2,700 seat Aronoff Center. Cincinnati Playhouse In The Park is one of the country's finest regional theaters and brings in many top performers direct from Broadway for its productions. A number of other professional companies also operate in Cincinnati, including the prestigious Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati. In addition, the area hosts many very healthy and active community theater groups. There is an abundance of university productions offered annually as well. The well-respected University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music (CCM) is one of the best college programs in the country and boasts many successful theater professionals as alumni. The productions at CCM, Xavier University, Miami University, and Northern Kentucky University offer theatergoers many options and opportunities in the Cincinnati area.

Just to the north of Cincinnati, in Middletown and Dayton, many other theater production companies give Cincinnati area residents even more options at less than forty-five minutes away. The Victoria Theatre and Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton co-host a separate Broadway Series of touring productions. The Human Race Theatre Company offers an outstanding schedule of popular and unique shows, including a Musical Theater Workshop series.
