Bi-coastal playwright and lesbian comic extraordinaire Marga Gomez has the folks rolling in the aisles with her 90 minute solo performance, the west coast premiere of Marga Gomez's Intimate Details at the Theatre Rhinoceros in San Francisco. This marks the comedian's sixth solo performance, which is being directed by David Schweizer. Ms. Gomez has been one of the better lesbian comics during the past several years, traveling all over the United States with her one person performance.

Ms. Gomez is the winner of the 2004 GLAAD Media Award for Off-Off Broadway; the Kennedy Center is among the many theatres she has played. She is also the winner of an Ovation Award given by the Los Angeles Theatre Critics Circle. The New York Times has called Marga Gomez "a comic marksman ... as incendiary as a Molotov cocktail." Robin Williams in an interview in Premiere Magazine called her a lesbian Lenny Bruce. There is no doubt about it, she is an amazing personality with a great wit, a mobile face and a lithe body. She is one foxy lady who could be called a lesbian Jennifer Lopez.

Marga Gomez's Intimate Details centers around Shona, sociopathic suburban housewife who was a volunteer for Gay Pride Month in New Jersey. The woman was a bisexual medicated female who was a web designer. She was separated from her husband. Marga was to emcee the Pride Day event and Shona volunteered to pick the comic up at the station. Love entered the picture at that moment. Shona was described as "one hot chick" who had been a stripper early in life.

Shona turned out to be a coke head with a three-year-old daughter, a precious brat who loved marshmallows and big steaks, and enjoyed hitting Marga in the stomach. Marga and Shona had a month-long affair with the comic literally locked up in a house in New Jersey with the brat while Shona went out and "worked" until all hours of the night. Needless to say, after a month of not been able to attend Gay Pride activities in New York, the relationship came to a crashing end.

Marga tells the audience she gave the woman the best month of her life and admits that, since the trauma with Shona she has "been loved for real a couple of times."
