The Colony Hotel, which The Palm Beach Post has hailed as "probably the best place for cabaret on the planet," has announced the star-studded 10th anniversary season of the hotel's celebrated Royal Room. Among this year's performers are headliners from Broadway and some of the most sophisticated nightspots in Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Manhattan. "Of course, the incredible music at The Colony isn't limited to our fabulous Royal Room," said Rob Russell, the hotel's Director of Entertainment. The hotel's Polo Steaks & Seafood continues to present Motown Friday Nights every week featuring the band Memory Lane, and a weekly Cast Party with The Switzer Trio on Saturday nights.

In 2010, The Colony Hotel once again was awarded the prestigious "4-Diamond" rating from AAA. Last fall it was named the recipient of the Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau's Providencia Award, South Florida's most prestigious annual honor recognizing excellence within the local hospitality and tourism industry. This was the first time in the 21-year history of the Providencia Award that it has gone to a smaller, boutique hotel. The Colony's popular restaurants include: Polo Steaks & Seafood: Palm Beach's number one steakhouse, offering dining al fresco in the hotel's newly remodeled Palm Court by the pool; Royal Room: Considered to be one of the nation's premier cabarets; Café 155: A petit New York-style deli serving delicious breakfasts and lunches prepared in the hotel's award-winning kitchen.

Host to Presidents Bush and Clinton, the Windsors and other royalty, The Colony Hotel has been the center of Palm Beach society for more than 60 years. An intimate, boutique hotel with British Colonial flair, it is just steps away from shopping on world famous Worth Avenue, and a beautiful Atlantic Ocean beach. This landmark hotel recently completed an extensive $15-million renovation and offers guests the choice of charming hotel rooms, luxurious suites, spectacular penthouses and spacious two bedroom villas—plus beautiful grounds and Frette linens.

"It has been an amazing decade for The Colony's Royal Room, filled with many magical moments for both our performers and their fans," said Roger Everingham, Vice President & General Manager of The Colony. In the past ten years, the Royal Room of the Colony Hotel has featured such stars as Debby Boone, Betty Buckley, Ann Hampton Callaway, Barbara Carroll, Diahann Carroll, John Davidson, The Four Freshmen, Kitty Carlisle Hart, Lainie Kazan, Linda Lavin, Michelle Lee, Andrea Marcovicci, Marilyn Maye, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr., Donna McKechnie, Marian McPartland, Faith Prince, Keely Smith, Steve Ross, Steve Tyrell, Ben Vereen, Mary Wilson, Jim Caruso, Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano, Tony DeSare, Baby Jane Dexter, Jeff Harnar, Lorenzo Lamas, Maude Maggart, Will & Anthony Nunziata, Johnny Rodgers and KT Sullivan.

"Our 10th anniversary season promises to be bigger and better than ever," said Everingham. "Not only are many of our Royal Room favorites returning like Marilyn Maye, Peter Cincotti, Jack Jones, Andrea Marcovicci, The Four Freshmen and Ann Hampton Callaway, we are also welcoming first-time headliners from Broadway like Christine Ebersole, and Vegas performers like Clint Holmes.
