Children's Hope Foundation
I receive many different things in the daily e-mail, from questions on how to
make it to Broadway from students to all kind of press releases. In the spirit
of Christmas and giving, I'd thought I'd share this one with you.
Dear Friends,
I am really excited to Chair the committee gathering gifts for teens-in-need
this holiday season through a phenomenal organization called Children's Hope
Foundation.
Over the past fourteen years, CHF has helped make the quality of life for
children and teens afflicted with HIV and AIDS much brighter. This year, we
will be reaching out to a very special group of 11-18 year olds affiliated
with CHF and Harlem Hospital.
I know we all tend to become tapped this holiday season, but if you're
looking for a way to give back, please email me and I'll give you more
details. FYI, last year's average amount spent was $35, and we have until
December 17. I'll even coordinate picking up the gifts from you!
These kids are not only dealing day-to-day with the effects of HIV and AIDS,
but come from income-challenged families. Last year, I'll never forget the
look of joy on the face of a 13-year-old as he opened a box containing a Gap
sweatshirt and a hat.
Thanks in advance for your interest -- and your generous hearts. Happy
Holidays!
Love,
Julie Nemitz
