I think he's being an ingrate and a creep.
And I do wonder why he was cast as Pierre.
He's a kinda cute type, especially, in the first part, for "Hamilton," but he was very hard to understand and each of his two roles were two-dimensional.
It's too bad all around, esthetically and financially, that we didn't get the chance to see Mandy Patinkin in GREAT COMET.
In my opinion, no producer and no person (no matter what color they are) has any obligation to put out money to build up a performer into a star just because said performer is not-white. I would think that would be the responsibility of the performer and their manager and their PR team. The old days of the Hollywood studio system are dead. I think you have to be your own trumpeter. |
