| HERSHEY FELDER'S SING-ALONG set for October 16 one-night-only at Temple Eman-El Streicker Center in NYC The award-winning actor and piano virtuoso HERSHEY FELDER - currently appearing on the London stage through October 22 in his most recent acclaimed solo show, OUR GREAT TCHKAIKOVSKY - will return to the states for a one-night-only performance in NYC at the Streiker Center (1 E. 65 St.) on Monday, October 16 at 7:30 pm to perform "HERSHEY FELDER - {JEWISH} SING-ALONG," featuring the music of some of America's greatest Jewish composers of the 20th century: George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, Rodgers and Hammerstein and others. The show is described as "a musical trip through 100 years of the yiddishe bochers who wrote Broadway's songbook, a soundtrack of American written by American Jews." The audience will, of course, be welcome - and will want - to sing-along to beloved classics from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, CABARET, SOUTH PACIFIC, OKLAHOMA!, WEST SIDE STORY, PORGY & BESS and many more. Following the SING-ALONG, Mr. Felder will return to London for the final performances of his acclaimed run at The Other Palace Theatre in his in-depth look at the professional and personal life of Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, featuring numerous musical passages performed by Mr. Felder from Tchaikovsky's singular body of work: Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker Ballet, 1812 Overture, 6th Symphony and others. The Stage called OUR GREAT TCHAIKOVSKY, "Poignant and vivid….a humane and fascinating work." What's On Stage praised the show as "A very special piece of theatre. Felder is magnetic…a world class pianist in his own right. The extended instrumental passages are sheer magic." OUR GREAT TCHAIKOVSKY, which has broken box office records and garnered critical acclaim across the U.S. since its debut in January, joins the roster of great composers whose lives and times Mr. Felder has portrayed in previous solo works, which earned Felder the TIME magazine's distinction as a Top 10 theatre artist in 2016: Beethoven, Chopin, Franz Liszt, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Leonard Bernstein.
