Well, I take your point. I thought the question worth raising.
It's rare to have a television program written around licensing and staging an actual Broadway show. And a very successful one. I am more intrigued by the decision to let HBO use the very small pieces out of context. I've seen "Avenue Q" and could place the moments chosen in the full story. I just thought the pieces didn't serve the show well (as opposed to, say, the use of material on "Glee"), and wonder how the creators felt. |
