Why is that a perfect part for him? I saw that casting and it was met by a "huh? why? ugh". He's very talented but I don't see why this is perfect for him, or why he was cast at all. Not to mention that he is only 11 years older than Lauren Ambrose (who looks great but does look in her mid-30s I believe), and to have a Higgins who certainly looks to be the same age group (though is actually younger than Lauren, which doesn't actually matter), and have their parents played by Norbert Leo Butz (50) and Diana Rigg (79)?! Rigg is almost THIRTY years older than Butz, but they are meant to be the respective parents of two actors who are and look to be the same basic age?
I can only guess that part of the logic for casting this was was it would help the audience believe that Lauren is in her 20s, as Eliza should probably should be, and therefor much younger than Higgins regardless of how old he plays.
For the record I have no real problem with an Eliza who looks to be in her mid/late 30s, but it is odd to me that she wasn't paired with a Higgins who plays at least in his mid/late 40s.

I'm not one who is too hung up on the age of actors in a stage production if they are great in the role, but I'm having trouble seeing Butz in this. And I don't know Harry Hadden-Paton's work at all.
