(I think you mean "conflating." ;) )

Yes, Paul Davis did those--his work is largely associated with Joe Papp, who was running the Beaumont at that time. He did many of the great 70s-80s posters for the Public as well (notably the Angry Sam Waterston Hamlet).

McMullan's work seems to be started around the early 80s, when Lincoln Center Theatre started producing work there themselves (although his earliest was the Broadway production of Comedians in 1976, which LCT wasn't connected to).
