I saw both casts. Honestly, I thought both were incredible but of them I much preferred Pullman and much preferred Fields. I always wondered how it would be to see Pullman and Fields together.
I love Ruehl but my one issue with her in this play was she seemed to start at 60 MPH, she didn't build, it was screaming and shouting almost the whole time.
I can't remember exactly why I liked Pullman in the role so much more than the also excellent Irwin, I just felt he was better. |
