| I realize that advocating this subject is your mètier, but you are pretty much alone in this. Most folks consider showing up late etc to be rude, not the other way around. And in many venues, it is also the only way to be safe. All it would take is one trip that sends you to the emergency room to give you a new cause to advocate relentlessly. There is a very simple solution to being late: show up early. Assume every show has a no late seating policy. Bring a book in case you have good transit karma. P.S. Shows that are not doing well are shows that are not good or that no one wants to see. In the last 20 years, I can only think of 2 times I was late to a show. And you may not know this if you show up late so often but the number of people in the audience is many and the number of latecomers is minimal, even in shows where it can be accommodated. |
