| I've read below what you consider adequate time, and it's just...not. For forty years, whether I was coming from Long Island or Manhattan, the rule has never changed - if you're seeing a weeknight show, you go directly from work. At five o'clock. You get to the area, you have a bite there, if you're lucky enough to have free time there are many amusements, and you're in your seat on time. If you work later than that, see your shows on weekends. Don't book early curtains. It's not that hard to organize yourself in a way that doesn't intrude on others enjoyment. Nearly all of us here manage it. |
