thank you! LGBT celebs don't and can't yet live in the "my private life is private" world as guilt-freely as straight ones

It MATTERS. It matters to the country, to the world, etc. Everything you said.

We don't want to know because we are gossip hounds obsessed with every detail of an actor or celebrity's life, we want to know because have visible gay celebrities who are open and proud is VERY important and makes an enormous difference not only to how gay people see themselves in this world, but to how straight people see gay people in this world, and to some slow but somewhat impactful way it effects what the world we live in is like.

To pretend it just "doesn't matter" the way it doesn't matter who a straight celebrity is dating is both unrealistic and dangerous (not to sound overdramatic).
