Because the first four rows of stalls seats were on a platform that revolved with the stage during the overture, the original production of 'Cats' at the New London had a very entertaining sign in the lobby: 'LATECOMERS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED WHILE THE AUDITORIUM IS IN MOTION'.
