I had the same thought. I was a very young child when the original b&w show was on, and then saw it in re-reruns. And I'm a mid-boomer with zero interest.
I'm intrigued by the thinking here, since the show was a celebration of a particular heterosexual marital dynamic that's not exactly treasured, even if the characters were. Though the working class milieu provides an opportunity for freshness, the characters seem more dated that those in shows that took place in the era ("Pajama Game" and "Damn Yankees" come to mind.)
I may be wrong. I often am. |
