I think you're safe on either of the long sides. I've seen shows there since the 70s, and haven't had a bad experience with seating, though I did carefully stay away from the band side of the playing area for "Fun Home," after being warned. (That show had a wonderful sound design; you actually heard the actors. But it meant the musicians could be heard over them in some spots.)
Also, it's a theater space where any design elements tend to look more impressive from above. So though everyone wants to be close, the show may be more enjoyable, ultimately, in elevated rows. Others may disagree. |
