In that same category you might put Gloria DeHaven's pre-Broadway departure from THE PRINCE OF CENTRAL PARK. Brave JoAnne Worley had the ill fortune to replace her.
In the oddest such incident, William Daniels (feature-billed below the title) left SUBWAYS ARE FOR SLEEPING in Boston when they removed his character's songs and most of his story line. They changed the character's gender and replaced him with Grayson Hall. |
