Thanks for the review, jesse21. It sounds what I suspected it might be like but I'm still interested in seeing this production. I recently watched the 1985 television production online and I liked it. I agree that TIME is not as instantly resonant as AN INSPECTOR CALLS but I think that's also its strength. In TIME, Priestley is a great deal more compassionate in his handling of the different characters and their fluctuating class status than INSPECTOR which is a kind of courtroom drama in hell dreamed up by the British Labour Party. TIME is certainly not as gripping a play but I liked the reversals and its sadness at time's ravages and the final idea that there might be a secular or religious epiphany that might help one transcend all that sadness.
