I liked it way better than you did. I thought there was a lot going on in the first act, underneath. I was close to the stage, and perhaps the subtext loses something further away? I thought it was a solid examination of family dynamics and how money influences them. I liked the little mystical moments, though I don't think the play would have missed them had they been removed...
