His understudy, Joey Collins, did the first week of previews and Slater, fresh from playing McMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest on the West End, took the stage a week later. I saw his second performance. I respected his stage proficiency, but he was not at all well cast as Tom. |
