| Yes, Lee Remick was fine in the role,perhaps a little stiff and guessing M-Lindsay-Hogg may have thought she lacked the chemistry up there with Geraldine Page and Amanda Plummer and not willing to let her grow into the role - this would have been her return to Broadway since her Tony nominated performance (16 years before) in WAIT UNTIL DARK .She was a lovely, lovely person which I feel comes across in many of her screen performances that I have seen |
