A Bronx Tale has averaged $800,723 per week for 48 weeks, which is respectable, but not the kind of figures which lead to recoupment. Nevertheless, it has been very consistent despite being shut out by the Tonys. It would probably take at least another year on the boards with the same average weekly gross to recoup -- unlikely but not impossible.
I'm glad that Come from Away recouped. It's a good solid show with a fine original score. IMO it's good for Broadway when shows like this turn a profit, but I'm also glad it didn't win the Best Musical Tony. |
