Anthony Rapp, the original Mark Cohen of ''Rent,'' was questioned about Fox-TV's live version of ''Rent,'' set for January 2018.
As NewNowNext.com asks: ''Given its mature language and themes—drug abuse, AIDS, queer identity— how will 'Rent' translate to network TV?''
Rapp says: “I’m curious to see which version they’re going to do. There are certain words in the text I’m not sure they can have on primetime TV. I wonder how they’ll treat those moments. ... I hope they get a really good cast and do it with the kind of rigor, heart and soul that 'Rent' demands.” |
