Whaddya mean the SURGERY is "very painful?" I had the surgery two years ago, and whatever "discomfort" I had after the surgery was nowhere NEAR the "pain" I had for years before the surgery. The anterior method's "pain" is limited to the comparatively small incision. You might be mixing it up with the traditional, posterior replacement. Go, Patty! I was back to work and active in 2 weeks . . . . Enjoy the freedom!
