That sounds sensible, but I got nothing on that. It opened here in May 1976 and I saw it in June with Patti. I've seen the paper insert "the role played by Carole Demas will be played by Patti LuPone" for sale on Amazon. Alas, no such eBay sales for me--my program includes her. Oddly, I don't recall much about her--just that the show was lousy and Topol was sweating and looked miserable.
