| "almost anything from My One and Only". Still one of the most underrated shows I ever witnessed. It was a Broadway success of sorts (opening the same season as Cats). There was SO MUCH WOW in this show: the choreography, performances, show stopping numbers, orchestrations, dancing on water, Twiggy, Roscoe Lee Brown and Denny Dillon, the black chorus boys and and the white chorus girls, and that crazy, magical set design full of geometric shapes - remember the rotating square flat behind the closing number??). It was just unbelievable. I saw the last preview and couldn't understand how they were able to get through the show 8 times a week! |
