| (e) The Tony Awards Administration Committee may, in its discretion, give a “Special Tony Award” to a live theatrical event that “officially opens” in an “eligible Broadway theatre” on or before the “Eligibility Date” of the current season, but which does not fit into any other category of Tony Award to be awarded for the current season, which “Special Tony Award” shall be designated to be awarded to the production or any element thereof, unless such element is otherwise determined to be eligible in another existing Tony Award category in accordance with paragraph 2(d) hereof. |
