No adult-leaning film like this opens on Christmas Day without Oscar hopes. Otherwise, it gets crushed at the box office by all the films getting Oscar buzz at that time of the year.
That being said, the studio may be backpedaling because the trailer, as seen at the link in Wayman's post, doesn't look very good. |
